Happy Monday! Those of you who know me know that I’m somewhat of a health nut. 🙂 Lately, I’ve been dying to find a place in Seattle that serves açaí bowls. I’ve had them in Austin and Honolulu, but haven’t had luck finding a go-to spot in Seattle, so I decided to try to make them myself. Turns out, it’s pretty simple if you have the açaí juice. I prefer to use the Sambazon juice brand because it’s organic. If you’re not familiar with açaí, it’s an antioxidant-rich berry that’s native to Brazil. It’s sweet, slightly tart, and tastes like something between a mix of raspberries and blackberries. What I like about the bowls are that they are healthy, delicious, and make for a quick breakfast or snack. Top with your favorite fresh fruit and granola and they’re ready to be devoured.
