  • Bouchon (Venetian/Plazzo, brunch) Amazing patio. Chef Thomas Keller
  • Bardot Brasseire (Aria, dinner) French steakhouse, Chef Michael Mina

What To Pack

  • Comfortable walking shoes.
  • A warm jacket. The evenings get really chilly.
  • Portable chargers
  • Only bring an amount of cash you’re comfortable losing.
  • Swimwear
  • Something fancy (for restaurants, night life, etc.)

What Else To Know

Do I Need To Rent A Car?

No. The airport is about 10 minutes from the strip. There are plenty of rideshare services. There is also a monorail that goes between some hotels.

How Many Days Should I Go For?

A weekend is perfect. But the prices go up significantly on weekends. So if you have two days off during the week and want to visit, that would be ideal.

What’s The Cheapest Time To Go To Las Vegas?

During the week and outside of peak season. You can also join hotel loyalty programs like the MGM’s MLife and earn points towards free stays.

What Not To Miss In Las Vegas

  • The Bellagio fountains
  • The Conservatory at the Bellagio. It’s so beautiful and the theme changes based on the season.
  • Topgolf at MGM is a fun place to go with a group
  • See a show

What Else Should I Know?

Vegas gets hot. It’s in the desert and it’s a dry heat. Avoid going during the summers and bring a jacket for the evening when the temperature drops.

If you’re going for a conference like CES, you’ll be spending lots of time inside and logging in steps. Bring a jacket and walking shoes.

Supposedly the slot machines at the airport have the worst odds. If you’re going to play, don’t waste your money there!

Everything on the strip is going to be more expensive. Save a few bucks by going to a store off the strip and buying water and other essentials.

You can visit the Grand Canyon via helicopter or bus tours.

Fremont Street is a few blocks from the strip. It’s the original strip and worth a visit if you want to experience a different side of Las Vegas.

There are definitely ways to enjoy Vegas without partying. The trip can be as relaxing as you want. See a show, go shopping, eat at some amazing restaurants, and relax by the pool in the sunshine. Enjoy!
