The 21 Most Instagramable Places In Seattle: Restaurants, Coffee Shops and Dessert Stops

21 Best Instagram coffee shops and restaurants In Seattle

1) Starbucks Roastery (Also know as Starbucks Reserve)
The first place on this list is the Starbucks Roastery. Located 9 blocks east of the very first Starbucks, this is anything but a standard Starbucks. First-timers will find that it’s a completely unique experience which includes being able to watch the entire coffee bean roasting process. The space is huge (15,600 square feet) and includes a tasting area, gift shop, and a small coffee library, plus a Tom Douglas restaurant (a Seattle celebrity chef). Bring your camera and an empty stomach! The drinks here cannot be found at a typical Starbucks and use Reserve beans. My favorite is the Americano Con Crema. The Mocha is the best I’ve ever had. For iced drinks, the Shakerato and Iced Sparkling Espresso With Mint are both definitely worth trying.

2) General Porpoise
One of our favorite stops on a weekend morning is General Porpoise Donughts on Capitol Hill. They make a variety of jam/custard-filled doughnuts that melt in your mouth. They use LFdA farm eggs. The coffee and tea they serve are some of my favorites as well (both the light and dark teas are very flavorful and refreshing). The design details here are lovely and totally Instagramable. Note: the doughnuts can and do sell out daily, so come early. They close at 3:00, but will close earlier if they sell out.

3) Molly Moon’s
Molly Moon’s Ice Cream has quickly become a Seattle classic with a strong and steadfast following. The ice cream is delicious and locally sourced. Note that lines can be long, but move quickly. Highly recommend this and Frankie & Jo’s (see below) equally.

4) Hello Robin
If you love Molly Moon’s you’ll love her friend Robin’s shop. The cookies are amazing and you can order an ice cream sandwich with Molly Moon’s ice cream. My favorite cookies are cake batter and orange (seasonal).

5) Frankie & Jo’s
This plant-based ice cream shop on Capitol Hill is one of the most buzzed about new places in Seattle. In addition to being plant-based and vegan, it’s gluten-free and some of the flavors have no added sugar. I’ve been there three times since finding out about it a few weeks ago and have tried multiple flavors and have not been disappointed. My favorite is Mexican Morning (a coffee flavor with kick.) I recommend getting the cone. As word spreads and the days get warmer, it’s getting more and more busy. Last time I was there, the wait was 30 minutes.

6) Rachel’s Ginger Beer
The non-alcoholic ginger beer that Rachel’s serves is so delicious. Their main location is in Pike Place in the Post Alley and they’ve also got a location in Cap Hill and are opening another in University Village.

Coffee art at it’s finest can be found at Moore Coffee, which is just a few blocks NE of Pike Place Market. I recommend going here over the original Starbucks.

10) Tallulah’s
Tallulah’s is a neighborhood restaurant in North Capitol Hill. It’s very inviting, has amazing food, cool wall art, and a great outdoor patio — one of the best in the city. It’s just a few doors down from Hello Robin and Cone & Steiner, both of which are also must-visits.

13) Bar Melusine
Combine the turquoise tiled floor with the marble and you get the perfect shot. Bar Melusine is a Renee Erickson restaurant and apart of the Sea Creature group who owns General Porpoise, The Walrus & Carpenter, The Whale Wins (see the sea theme?) as well as Bateau, next store. Renee Erickson also has an amazing cookbook.

14) Goldfinch Tavern at the Four Seasons Seattle
Not only is the food very “pretty,” but the meals are absolutely delicious. Located inside the Four Seasons, it looks out onto the Seattle waterfront.
I love their brunch menu. The fresh green apple juice is my favorite!

Little Brother is actually in Kirkland, WA, which is a short drive from Seattle (unless you go during rush hour!). This place is perfect for coffee dates and was totally designed for Instagram.

16) Westward
Picture yourself on an adirondack chair, wine in hand, perched under a sky of cute umbrellas with a gorgeous view of the Seattle skyline. That’s what you’ll get at Westward. A part of the Huxley Wallace Group, Westward is apart of an amazing family of restaurants. View them all here: http://huxleywallace.com/

17) Mbar
A new spot that has a gorgeous rooftop view of the city. Located in SLU (South Lake Union), it’s owners also own Mamnoon, which is one of my favorite restaurants in the city.

18) Terra Plata
Another great rooftop! This one is right across from the Starbucks Roastary and very close to the Nordstrom Flagship.

19) Melrose Market
Next to Terra Plata is Melrose Market and inside, you’ll find the cutest market stores. It’s like a mini mini version of New York’s Chelsea Market.

20) Lady Yum
This spot is also in Kirkland, but a trek across the bridge for macaroons is totally worth it. Do it for the gram. (But actually, for the macaroons.)

21) Dick’s
When it comes to a Seattle classic, it’s Dick’s Drive In. A lot of people compare it to In-N-Out and say it’s Seattle’s version. I don’t think it’s the same at all, but both restaurants are classics.
