Guys, I have a confession: I never leave Chipotle without ordering guacamole. I don’t care that there’s a surcharge – it’s SO good. I could probably eat it every day, and if you’re on the same page as me and want to make that a reality, take a look at their recipe (thanks Lauren!) shown below. Since making it, I added in a few twists and love both versions. Pin this post.
My Way
Ingredients
-
2 Ripe Haas Avocados
1 Lemon – 1 tsp of lemon juice
1 Lime – 2 tsp of lime juice
1 Cherry Tomato, chopped
2 Tbsp Cilantro, chopped
1/4 Cup Red Onion
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
1/4 tsp Salt
Steps:
-
1) Cut avocados; remove pit
2) In a medium bowl, mash until chunky
3) Add in diced tomatoes, cilantro, and onion
4) Squeeze lemon and lime juice and remove seeds
5) Mix in garlic powder and salt
Chipotle’s Official Guacamole Recipe
2 ripe Hass avocados
2 tsp lime juice
2 tbsp cilantro (chopped)
1/4 cup red onion (finely chopped)
1/2 jalapeño, including seeds (finely chopped)
1/4 tsp kosher salt
Now if you add guac to toast, does it still count as avocado toast? I’ll leave that to you to decide.
Enjoy!
