The Bellevue Collection welcomed two fantastic new editions, just in time for Christmas: Uniqlo and Zara! Uniqlo, which opened November 6, is their first location to open in Washington state. I had a great time attending the V.I.P. party and experiencing it the night before it opened. The store was in pristine condition and we shopped while listening to a DJ and noming on apps and drinks. We also got to meet Seattle Seahawk and fellow UW alum Jermaine Kearse!
Uniqlo is so beautifully organized. All of the merchandise was perfectly stacked – to the point that I felt bad pulling anything down from the shelf! The retailer specializes in simple basics, such a plain t-shirts, sweaters, and jackets. The clothing reminds me of Gap, but almost every piece comes in a vast range of colors – just look at the wall of socks, pictured above!
The second store to open this month is my beloved Zara! The Spanish chain is the largest fashion retailer in the world. And with inventory constantly changing (they only take two weeks to design, develop, and produce new products), their pieces are very timely, making the store a destination for anyone who wants constant accessibility to the latest trends. After the success of the Seattle store, which opened in February 2014, the Bellevue location opened last Wednesday, November 11. It includes women, men, and kids sections. If only it had a Home section too. To say I’m excited about them (finally!) opening in Bellevue is an understatement!
