My Favorite Inexpensive Ways To Update Your Home For Fall
Fall is just around the corner. While I much prefer summer, the change in the weather has me ready to start prepping for the new season. Here are a few simple things you can do to get your home ready for fall.
Switch Out Your Scent
Swapping out candles to switch up the season is so simple, but it makes all the difference.
I always get my candles from Anthropologie and Nordstrom (Jo Malone, Diptique, Capri Blue, and Voluspa are my favorites). I don’t buy candles too frequently, but we just purchased this one yesterday and are loving it. It’s such a clean, pumpkin spice scent, but it’s equally sweet and not overbearing! And it’s the inspiration behind this post. 🙂
Decorate Your Porch With Pumpkins and Mums

Nothing says fall like a pumpkin-lined porch. Of course orange pumpkins are standard, but my favorites are white and green, as pictured above.
Adding Chrysanthemums to your porch will also create a beautiful entryway and the color of the flowers compliment fall leaves.
Fill Your Kitchen With The Foods Of Fall
Apples, brews, chai, cider, cranberries, cinnamon, pumpkins, squash, teas… this list has me ready to make a Trader Joe’s run! Speaking of TJ’s, they also carry cinnamon broom sticks, which smell great and are awesome additions to a porch.
Add A Cozy Throw Blanket

No longer spending long summer days outside, we’re now more likely to be sitting on our couches, listening to the rain (at least in Seattle!). Curling up under a comfy throw blanket with a good book in hand is the best. Here are a few cute neutral and soft throw blanket options that will compliment any room:
