Happy Valentine’s Day, lovelies! Today was such a fun day! Since it fell on a Tuesday this year, we mainly celebrated over the weekend by spending the day in downtown Seattle. We started it off with brunch at Goldfinch Tavern at The Four Seasons Seattle and oh my goodness, we had the most perfect brunch meal. We ordered fresh-squeezed green apple juice, lemon ricotta pancakes, and an egg, avocado, and bacon croissant. YUM! The moment I tasted the pancakes, I realized just how amazing this restaurant is. If you’re looking for a great brunch spot in Seattle, this is your place. Not only is the food fabulous, but it has a beautiful view of the waterfront and overlooks the Seattle Great Wheel. After brunch, we continued our walk through the city, which was great because not only was it a gorgeous day, but I got to put my new Misfit to the test. I love having it on my wrist. It’s so tiny and chic and I’ve been getting lots of compliments on it, but more importantly, it’s so motivating! And it tells me how long I sleep each night, which is something I’m trying to focus on this year (I say this as I write this post at midnight!!!) We headed towards Pike Place and made our way east to some of our favorite shops (Nordstrom and Niketown!) I always love looking at the shoes on floor two of the Nordstrom Flagship – so much lust-worthy inspiration! Anyone else totally eyeing these right now? Nordstrom also had an amazing selection of new TopShop pieces for spring, including these “mom” jeans and this embroidered top. And with athleisure and logos being major trends for spring, Nike had some perfect tops and leggings. I bought this cute tank in white and can’t wait to style it (and workout in it too.)
Tonight we continued to celebrate Valentine’s Day by having dinner at one of our favorite spots and if you’ve seen my Instagram today, you’ve been seeing these cute photos pop up throughout the day as well. Normally I stick to one photo a day, but I loved all of these balloon shots so much that I shared them all! And while these photos are all cute and we definitely had a great time going out and celebrating, at the end of the day, we could have just stayed in and ordered a pizza and I would have been content! I’m just so grateful to have each other and for all the time we spend together — regardless of what we’re doing. He is my best friend, my rock, confidant, and biggest supporter. We have shared everything together and I am so lucky. I love him so much! I don’t want to get super mushy, so that’s all for now. 🙂 I hope you had a wonderful day and that you were able to spend it with your loved ones!
Check back here tomorrow – something fun is coming to the blog!
